(Sherman Oaks, CA – October 16, 2016) – The 26th Annual Sherman Oaks Chamber Street Fair—the largest event in the San Fernando Valley—is scheduled for Sunday, October 16 from 10am to 6pm. Located on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, California, the fair stretches 9 blocks from Van Nuys Blvd. to Kester Ave. Admission is free with 100,000 people expected this year.
Billed as a celebration of Southern California heritage and culture, the fair features over 200 vendors displays, and exhibits, food trucks, and an outdoor craft beer & cocktail garden in front of the main stage presented by Local Peasant. Major attractions include a Classic Car and Hot Rod Show, a Carnival & Fun Zone, a Community Performing Arts Stage with talent from over 15 local schools presented by Wells Fargo, and a Pet Zone presented by IMT Residential.
The main concert stage will feature The Empty Hearts with members of Blondie, The Cars, The Romantics, and The Chesterfield Kings. Pleasant Valley Sunday will celebrate the Monkees’ 50th Anniversary, and Paperback Writer will recreate a Beatles concert from Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road. Guitar legend John Blair and The Trespassers will perform old school ‘60s surf instrumentals.
